Alhj. Ahmed G. Abubakar began his career at NNPC as a Geophysicist. As the Project Venture Manager for the Egina Development Project, which was the first deepwater project initiated after the Nigerian Content Development Management Board Act. He focused on promoting Nigerian content and increasing local participation in EPC packages. With over 30 years of experience, he is an experienced Geophysicist, Petroleum Exploration Specialist, and consultant.
During his career, he managed various Petroleum Exploration and Development Projects at the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) and the National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS). He retired as the General Manager responsible for Chad Basin Operations in the Frontier Exploration Services (FES) Division of NNPC.
